JD Sports, the retailer marketed as the 'undisputed king of trainers', has appointed CAPA for a rates audit and to manage its service charges.

Based in Bury, Greater Manchester, JD Sports has a vast portfolio of stores to manage across the UK.

It has now instructed CAPA to provide service charge management services and to inspect the rates paid across a portfolio of its retail outlets.

CAPA's auditors will use bespoke software to audit service charges to discover any overspend or error. Once discovered, this overspend will be recovered to generate cash across the portfolio. The same service will be applied to rates paid across the sites.

CAPA has provided service charge management and audit services to a range of large companies in the retail sector, including Dreams, Austin Reed and Snow+Rock.
