With the assistance of solicitors from DMH Stallard, the experts quickly completed a sale to Freedom Works – a company with experience in the office space sector in the region.
CAPA have been appointed by the administrators to carry out a full property over the eight locations occupied by the business.

HHGL Limited and Hampden Group Limited T/A Homebase
Find out moreOn 13 November 2024 HHGL Limited and Hampden Group Limited, operating under the brand Homebase, entered administration Gavin Park, Gavin Maher and Adele Macleod of Teneo Financial Advisory Limited were appointed as Joint Administrators. Homebase has 3600 employees and 133 stores across the UK.
CDS Superstores, which owns homeware retailer The Range, has bought 70 stores, saving around 1,600 jobs. It said that these will continue to trade as Homebase stores "over the next couple of months" before reopening as The Range stores.
Teneo said it's seeking a buyer for Homebase's remaining 49 stores.
CAPA have been appointed to carry out a full property audit over 147 sites throughout the UK.
CAPA Director Tony Sweeney advised - "It's great to be working again with Teneo on such an important retail portfolio".

Plumbs, a fourth-generation family business which specialises in furniture cover, curtain and reupholstery, has been acquired by a new trading company called Sarah Plumb.
The business, which has its headquarters in Ashton-on-Ribble, has faced "significant challenges" recently due to trading underperformance and increased operating costs, according to PwC, who were appointed as administrators earlier this month.
PwC has now completed a sale of the majority of the business and assets of the company to the new trading company. As part of the deal, all existing orders are being honoured.
